What is a Bricked PSP?

This is when the firmware on the PSP (which is the 'software', so to speak, much like an operating system on a computer) becomes corrupt or damaged in someway, and as a result your PSP (computer/console) can not start up.

One way this can happen, is when updating the firmware on your PSP by running a firmware update, and the process is interrupted while the updated firmware is being installed, or the process simply fails with an error for some reason. As a result, the firmware on your PSP is now corrupted and incomplete and your PSP will be unable to operate.
